SYNOPSIS
Dersú Uzalá is the first film that Akira Kurosawa filmed outside of Japan and is based on the memoirs written in 1923 by the explorer Vladimir Aseniev about Dersu Uzala, a man of the Hezhen ethnic group who accompanied Arseniev’s men during several expeditions through the region. Siberian Sikhote-Alin in Russia.
